Graham Kildey has over 40 years in the architecture and construction industries, with a lifetime of experience gathered across Australia, UK and Europe.

His formative career experience was gathered overseas during the early seventies, working for Architectural and Development companies. Graham designed and project managed several large scale, multi-million dollar, commercial and industrial developments, in the London, Amsterdam, Stuttgart and Paris.

On returning to Brisbane, Graham established his own practice, with many diverse commissions, including those for night clubs, restaurants, a chain of hair salons, art galleries, and several private residences.
In 1985 Graham registered The Architects (Australia) Pty Ltd, trading as Architects Australia.

As a natural progression from his early career experience, in 1987 Graham established his own development company group Kildey Pty Ltd. By utilizing his knowledge and experience in both architecture and development, Graham designed and developed the ABBEY Hotel, in Brisbane CBD. The 17 storey all-suite apartment hotel was the first of its kind in Brisbane, the all-suite mix responding to the requirements of the ever-changing business traveller, setting a precedent, for many other hotel chains to follow suit.

Between 1989 and 1994, Graham as lead designer of Architects Australia, designed several multi-residential town house developments in Brisbane’s north; ‘Aspen in the Sun’ a 70 townhouse development in Aspley, ‘Paris in the Springtime’ a 30 townhouse development in Carseldine, and ‘Tuliphaven’ a 20 townhouse development in Brackenridge.

In 1994, while sponsored by Austrade, Graham’s submission to Renfe, the Spanish National Rail Authority, for a prominent Hotel & Casino in Seville, Spain, became the winning entry in the international design tender. This relationship with Renfe, in turn lead to the design commission for a mixed-use hotel and office development in Barcelona, Spain.

In recent years group Kildey and Architects Australia have been jointly responsible for two commercial projects on Brisbane’s north, in Lutwyche and Clayfield, and the latest of his built developments, a multi-residential unit complex, 40 min north of Brisbane CBD, in Woody Point.

Throughout, Graham has continued to provide service to all his clients, related to broad spectrum of projects, from residential & multi-residential renovations and residential new builds, through to projects where he has been able to assist clients in maximizing development approvals by drawing on both his architectural and development backgrounds.

An avid golfer and eternal optimist, when not slaving over the drawing board or laptop, Graham can be found making his way round Royal Queensland golf course, where he is a member, in that elusive search for the perfect round.
